Meeting Dan Aykroyd

In: News

16 May 2010

A few of the Georgia Ghostbusters’ boys in grey (and khaki!) pose with the newest honorary member of the Georgia Ghostbusters: the creator of Ghostbusters himself, Mr. Dan Aykroyd!

Ron Daniels, Derek Smith, and Jairus Whitley booked it all the way down to Bradenton, FL to visit Dan’s Crystal Head signing event, where they, along with a good many Florida Ghostbusters, had the amazing opportunity to meet Dan, chat a bit while he signed some mementos, pose for some pictures, and pick up a bottle of his fantastic vodka.

We were absolutely blown away by the warm reception from Mr. Aykroyd and his staff; truly class acts all around.  We hope that they won’t hesitate to contact us should they ever need anything at all of the Georgia Ghostbusters!

Thank you, Dan, for one of the greatest days of three Georgia Ghostbusters’ lives!

The Georgia Ghostbusters main vehicle, the Ecto 1G was recently featured in an Ectomobile photo contest at Ghostbusters Fans.

Fans voted and selected the Ecto 1G photo as their favorite. We like it as well.

For besting the field of competitiors, CEO and operator of the 1G Chace Ambrose get’s to select the next month’s photo contest theme as well as a lovely framed article.

This victory is only one of the numerous awards the Ecto 1G has had bestowed upon it, including several Car Show awards as well as a 2009 PKE Surge Crunch award. To learn more about this other-worldly vehicle visit our equipment page!

We returned him to the containment unit shortly after.

Recently, a few of the braver Georgia Ghostbusters trekked down to the great swamps of Florida. We are happy to report they returned home safely and without any serious injuries.

The Peach Belt Division was out in force with all three members invading the Orange County Convention Center linking up with Ghostbusters from Florida, Oklahoma, Kentucky, and beyond! The team assisted in the sweep of the convention, finding only a few malevolently possessed beings. Jairus Whitley is however concerned there may be a significant increase in the gator population.
